Welcome to Roopastra (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our AI-powered virtual try-on and image processing service, accessible via our web and mobile applications (collectively, the “Service”).

By clicking “I Agree,” checking a consent box, creating an account, or utilizing our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

1. Service Description

Roopastra utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to process images you upload (e.g., photos of yourself) to simulate how specific apparel, accessories, or products might look on you (“Generated Images”). The Service is provided for visualization and entertainment purposes only and does not guarantee an exact physical fit, drape, color, sizing, or appearance.

2. Accounts and Security

  • Access: Sign-in may be via email/password, OTP, or OAuth (e.g., Google).
  • Responsibility: You must keep your credentials confidential. You are strictly responsible for all activity occurring under your account.
  • Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately, without prior notice, if we suspect a violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, security risks, or abusive behavior.

3. Compliance (DPDP Act 2023)

In compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we adhere to strict data protection principles:

  • Explicit Consent: By uploading an image, you grant us explicit, informed, and unconditional consent to process your personal or biometric data solely for generating the virtual try-on output.
  • Purpose Limitation & Minimization: We only collect data strictly necessary for the Service. Your images will not be used to train foundational AI models, sold to third parties, or used for any other purpose without separate explicit consent.
  • User Rights: You have the right to withdrawal consent via account settings or contact our Grievance Officer. You also have the right to request erasure of your uploaded images at any time.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You shall not:

  • Upload images of third parties without explicit, verifiable consent.
  • Generate, morph, or share unlawful, violent, sexually explicit, or defamatory content (deepfakes).
  • Infringe on third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape our underlying AI models.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your uploaded images. You grant us a temporary, restricted license to process them solely to provide the Service. We retain all rights to the Roopastra platform, AI models, and branding.

6. Intermediary Safe Harbor

The Company operates as an "Intermediary" under Section 79 of the IT Act, 2000. You are solely responsible and legally liable for the content you upload and the prompts you execute.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: We make no warranties regarding the accuracy of the virtual try-on.
